I joined Radio Calderdale in 1986 and presented a weekly music show for eight years. In 1991 I became the P.A. announcer at the Shay for Halifax Town matches until 1998. In 1992 Radio Calderdale began to broadcast live commentary of the Shaymen’s home games. I’ve been commentating at the Shay ever since. Since our move to the East Stand, our broadcasts have been able to convey a more ‘live match day experience’ with the sound of the crowd around us.
Away from the microphone I teach French at a local high school and like going to the cinema. I live with my wife in Rishworth.
